IVOL is an internationally oriented webshop for consumers and business customers. Our range consists of more than 10,000 products, including automotive materials, office chairs, whiteboards, rubber mats, and steering wheel locks. We also offer stair mats and interior design items. We operate webshops for each individual product group both domestically and abroad. Examples include bureaustoeldiscounter.nl, rubbermatten24.nl, whiteboard-flipover.nl, and snowsportshop.nl. We expand the range of products available in our webshops on a weekly basis.
IVOL stands for Internet Verkoop Organisatie Luyendijk (Luyendijk Internet Sales Organization). Our head office and warehouse are located in the Netherlands in Veldhoven, Brabant. Outside the Netherlands, you will also find our online stores in various European countries, including France, Germany, and Italy. Below, we provide a brief history of the company and you can read about the most recent developments.
1992 to 2007
IVOL (then Brink's High Tech Parts) is a wholesaler of car accessories and carpets, such as doormats and stair mats.
2008 to 2015
The first online store was launched in 2008, and since then we have continued to expand the number of stores. In June 2012, there were 20 online stores, and this number continued to grow in the following years. In 2015, there were more than 100 online stores spread across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, England, and France. Abroad, the shops are called Vivol, which stands for Verenigde Internet Verkoop Organisatie Luyendijk (United Internet Sales Organization Luyendijk).
In 2012, our online shops and logo were due for an update. We then introduced a new corporate identity. Since 2013, we have also been active on various social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. On YouTube, we present part of our product range and explain how to use it.
2016
On July 25, 2016, we moved into our new premises on the Habraken industrial estate near Eindhoven Airport. This building is more than twice the size of the old one. We are particularly pleased with the new loading docks, which save a lot of time when loading and unloading containers and trucks. The new canteen with its foosball table and air hockey table is also a big hit with the IVOL team!
2017 and 2018
IVOL takes over snowsportshop.nl and from September 2017, we also sell snowboard and ski equipment. In addition, we have started selling professional hairdressing chairs and barber chairs.
In early 2018, IVOL starts selling on marketplaces including Bol.com and Amazon. The warehouse, which is less than two years old, is already too small. A major expansion in the summer of 2018 adds no less than 1600 m2 of extra warehouse space.
2019 to present day
The design of our webshops is being revamped, significantly improving their look and ease of use. We are also switching to a new backend. We are starting to translate our webshops into Spanish and Italian.
At the end of 2019, construction began on an additional 2,000 m² of storage space. This brings the total area to 5,300 m².
Sustainability
Sustainability is very important to IVOL. To contribute to this, we have equipped our building with 250 solar panels. The entire building and our distribution center are equipped with LED lighting.
Cardboard is compressed in our inbound cardboard press and then sent to paper processors, who turn it into new boxes. We have scrap metal collected by the scrap metal dealer for recycling. Wood waste is processed as a secondary raw material in the wood fiber and chipboard industry or used as fuel in bioenergy plants, among other things.
